Community Revitalization
This 194-unit affordable housing renovation project lies in the heart of a troubled neighborhood in Federal Way, WA. The objective for the non-profit partner, Community Housing Assistance Program, Inc. (CHAPA), was to renovate the property and enhance social services through offerings such as after-school programs, public safety education, and computer skills training. In addition to acquisition and financial consulting, Catapult provided CHAPA an assessment of the community’s needs and developed a complete community revitalization strategy. Catapult acted as construction manager for the partnership to complete the $1.5 million renovation. Today the community is a thriving neighborhood with a significant reduction in crime and solid occupancy rates.
