Catapult is the developer of this $21 million, mixed-use development encompassing 150,000 square feet of retail, parking, and 76 units of mixed-income, artist live/work space. The City of Tacoma conveyed a parking lot to Catapult in exchange for replacement parking and a development that promotes economic development for the City. Located 2 blocks from Triangle Townhomes and adjacent to Bridge Condominiums, Catapult proposed an artist project to complement the existing concentration of cultural attractions, and to create affordable homeownership for artists and diverse housing stock in the neighborhood. The project is being designed by Hewitt Architects to LEED criteria and will be constructed by Rushforth Construction. Catapult is arranging a mix of funding sources including a recently awarded Federal Home Loan Bank AHP grant, public subsidies, and private equity.
